THINKING SPATIALLY Declination and Out-of-bounds Planets
The planets don’t just go round and round; they also go up and down. Our tour around the celestial sphere will better acquaint us with the ecliptic and equator and their relationship. In the process, we’ll encounter declination, including out-of-bounds planets, parallels, contra-parallels and a fascinating hybrid: declination longitude. Our discovery will shed light on significant factors affecting current events that you cannot spot from an ephemeris. We’ll also peek at some charts to demonstrate how you can use declinations in your astrological analyses.
Presented by Tucson Astrologers Guild
TAG’s non-member lecture fee is a friendly $15. You might consider joining (I’m a member) – the dues are only $30 per year and you get $5 off each event and a link to the Zoom recording afterward (only available to members). Here is where you pay (even if you don’t see my event listed – you can type “March 12” in the “Instructions to Seller” field at check-out).
Thursday, June 16, 2022, 7:30 – 9:00 PM EDT, on Zoom
The Finger of God – A Divine Detour
Sometimes the planets form a triangle pattern called the Finger of God (also known as a Yod), showing areas in our life where we detour off the path we think we’re consciously choosing. We’re not sure if God is pointing the way or showing us a different finger! Janet explains the main component of such triangles, an aspect of mismatched energies called the quincunx or inconjunct. Using famous examples as well as the charts submitted by participants, we’ll explore ways to get the best out of the combinations of signs. (Note: not all charts have this pattern.)
Presented by Metropolitan Atlanta Astrological Society
The non-member fee for this lecture is $18, payable using the link on the MAAS event page. A Zoom link will be emailed ahead of the event.
