Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 QUINTILE MAGIC
and Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 CHART YOUR 2020
In astrology, we tend to focus on the aspects that divide the zodiac (and chart) circle by 2, 4 and 8 for jolts into action, and 3 and 6 for gentler prods. So what about 5? Quintiles and bi-quintiles(fractions of one-fifth and two-fifths) are associated with the Venus-Earth-Sun interplay and represent lovelier qualities like luck and talent. When they form a triangle, they really amp up their positive prospects! We’ll explore interpretations of their potentials in natal charts and see how to work with them in various forecasting techniques, such as progressions, transits, returns and lunations. Bring your chart! (If you need a chart contact [email protected])
Chart Your 2020
We’ll begin with an examination of the key aspects and patterns heading our way in 2020 – and there are some biggies! Then we’ll look at how these line up with the planets and houses in the charts of participants and brainstorm ways to best utilize the planets’ influences and avoid their pitfalls. You will receive worksheets with the planets’ key aspects and stations organized in two ways: chronologically and by zodiac position, as well as Janet’s Plan-its 2020 On a Page, Janet’s handy one-page bar chart with the dates and degrees for the planets’ retrogrades and “shadows” as well as the year’s New and Full Moons.
This workshop will also be presented on Sat., November 23 for Richmond (Virginia) NCGR Chapter.
In the week in between Tucson and Glendale, Janet will be in Eloy (south of Phoenix and north of Tucson) doing readings and a talk for non-astrologers (with a little star gazing) on Monday, Nov. 11. Contact Janet for more information or to book an appointment.
Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 (Glendale)
Arizona Society of Astrologers
The newest addition to the solar system set, Eris is the dwarf planet far out past Pluto named for the feisty sister of Mars. We’ll look at its mythological roots, chart examples from the famous and infamous, and its implications in mundane astrology and modern history. For instance, it seems to play a part in women’s issues and is strong in the charts of key feminists. This lecture does not present definitive research but rather ideas and speculation about interpretation. Attendees can bring their charts and offer input.

When something strange happens in your life – a chance encounter with a person, circumstance or event that heads you in a different direction – you wonder, “What would my life have been like if that hadn’t happened?” This is when one looks for an association with the Vertex, a secondary angle of the chart that brings us “cosmic appointments” and run-ins that seem beyond our control. Learn what the Vertex is, how to interpret its position by sign, house and aspect, and its use in forecasting and synastry. [This is a specialty for Janet. She lectured on this topic at the United Astrology Conference (UAC) in 2002 and followed up with an article about the Vertex in the June/July 2003 issue of The Mountain Astrologer.]
