Following a lecture on this topic at the United Astrology Conference in 2002, this Vertex article appeared in The Mountain Astrologer (June/July 2003 issue).
The Vertex is a little used but significant personal point in a chart that sheds light on strong, seemingly fated relationship connections and conditions in life that feel destined. This article outlines what the Vertex is, how it is determined, and most importantly, how to interpret it. Many examples are provided, mostly from the lives of famous people.

Once learning briefly about the Vertex, I immediately thought back to the only night that felt “Vertex” like. I simply looked at a person and felt a knowing! This person later played a huge role in my life. So I ran a chart for that night in the past, and indeed transit Saturn was exactly conjunct my natal vertex down to 3 minutes apart in the 7th house. Not to mention that the Composite chart between this person and I also have the same Vertex at 3 degrees Pisces – meaning transit Saturn was also conjunct our Composite Vertex that night. In synastry, both his Mars and Venus are conjunct my Anti-Vertex in the first house and my Mercury is conjunct his Vertex in the 6th house. Amongst many other notable takeaways – but I am very intrigued about the vertex in this scenario.
I heard Janet’s name on The Pattern’s podcast about the Vertex and immediately ran this way!
